Our St Patrick’s community has always been defined by its kindness, compassion, and deep care for one another. Over recent weeks, we have been especially mindful of this as the community celebrated the life and gift of Verity. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our parents and families for the extraordinary support shown during this time. The care, compassion, and understanding extended toward our staff and Verity's family did not go unnoticed and were deeply felt. Being surrounded by such a welcoming and loving community reminded us that we do not walk through difficult times alone.

Thank you to the many parents who attended the Personalised Learning Plan (PLP) evenings in Week 5. These meetings are an important opportunity to work in partnership, sharing goals and celebrating the learning journey of each child. In the coming weeks, families will receive an electronic copy of their child’s PLP for their records. Parents will also be asked to complete a short EdSmart acknowledgement slip, confirming their participation in the PLP process. We sincerely appreciate your engagement and collaboration.

On Friday, 20 February, we were pleased to welcome Claire Clutterham MP, Federal Member of Parliament, to St Patrick’s for a site visit. Ms Clutterham visited the school in support of our capital building project, which aims to improve teaching and learning spaces within the Yellow classroom, including the addition of an accessible bathroom to better meet the needs of our students. We are grateful for her time and advocacy on behalf of our community.

Our Quality Performance Team is currently working with enthusiasm toward an updated school report format. This refreshed approach will be shared with our community at the end of Term 2, alongside the distribution of Semester 1 reports.

We have also marked the beginning of Lent, celebrating with Shrove Tuesday pancakes and Ash Wednesday liturgies, providing meaningful moments of reflection and faith for our students.

Looking ahead, we warmly invite families and friends to join us for our Welcome and St Patrick’s Day Mass on Monday, 17 March at 11:30am in the hall. All are most welcome. We will also celebrate our feast day with students, with our dedicated St Patrick’s Day Committee hard at work planning what promises to be a fun‑filled and joyful day for the entire St Patrick’s community.
