Mathematics

In our Maths classrooms students have continued to work on establishing positive routines throughout the first half of Term 1. Teachers have been supporting and encouraging students to record clear examples into their dedicated Maths Notes books. The Maths Notes book serves as a fantastic tool for our students to reference when they are working through the course work and when they are completing revision tasks at the end of a unit of work.

It has been amazing to see many students demonstrate the College Values of Diligence and Excellence by independently creating their own summary pages at the end of the unit of work in preparation for the end of unit assessment.

Students are reminded they are invited to access additional support throughout the term.

Term 1: Maths afterschool help session

In Term 1 we will still be offering our afterschool Maths help sessions in classroom A13, with two Maths teachers rostered on each session to assist students as needed. Students are encouraged to bring along maths work they would like further support with.

 Term 1: Monday 3.30 - 4.30pm in classroom A13

Term 1: Maths lunch time club *New in 2026*

New in 2026 - students are invited to attend Maths lunchtime club. Ms Marcus will host the weekly Maths club which will run each Monday during lunch time in classroom A10 (students are encouraged to bring along their lunch to Maths club!). In Maths club students can choose what Maths they would like to focus on. They may choose to use the time to catch up on their Maths work, challenge themselves with some problem-solving questions or perhaps work through maths puzzles.
