Instrumental Music

Berwick College has a strong tradition of excellence in music and a vibrant instrumental music program.
We warmly welcome our existing and new instrumental music students to the 2026 program. Orientation for new music students has commenced with music teachers, pictured below, who will schedule lessons on a rotating timetable to avoid students missing the same class each week.
Just a reminder that we offer tuition to any student from years 7 – 12 in the following instruments:
Brass: Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Tuba
Woodwind: Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Oboe/Bassoon
Strings: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass
Guitar: Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar
Keyboards: Electric Keyboard, Piano
Percussion: Drum kit, Orchestral percussion, Glockenspiel
Voice
Students who study instrumental music are enrolled in an ensemble as part of the study. These ensembles perform regularly as part of the school program. Students also have the opportunity to participate in co-curricular music activities and performances and to collaborate with alumni who are leading, conducting or playing professionally in the wider community. Key performance dates and enrichment opportunities will be provided and announced in further newsletters.
We look forward to guiding students’ musical journey, improving technical skills, encouraging artistic development and fostering a sense of belonging and teamwork through a shared enjoyment of music.
