Dance Academy

What a busy couple of weeks we have had with our Dance students! Our dancers are well and truly into preparing for the upcoming DanceStar competition and developing their technique and physical skills along the way. We are particularly proud of our Year 7 students who have adapted so well to the fast pace of secondary education.

VET Showcase Assessment Night
On Thursday 26 March, the BCDA held our annual VET dance showcase. Students from years 10 to 12 choreographed, refined and performed a variety of routines to go towards their Certificate II and Certificate III in Dance.
VET showcase highlighted some of the amazing talent we have in the BCDA and a great diversity of styles. Showcase allowed me to perform in front of a live audience pushing me to work harder. Being able to watch other performers inspired me to expand my movement vocabulary and take risks in my dances.
