The Yr12 PDS students spent the previous few weeks planning and organising the Berwick College Swimming Carnival BBQ as part of their Unit 1 Outcome assessment.

The event was very successful.  All the VM students who attended the carnival pitched in fulfilling the many roles required to run the day successfully. It was that successful that Mr Hobba had to leave to purchase more drinks and bread for the lunch session.

The culture of the VCE VM program has been extremely positive so far, all staff, and your Applied Learning Captain, Bethany Foster, are very proud of the fact that everyone loves getting involved and helping the community. The skills that our students are developing through these activities, specifically communication, social awareness and handling money are ensuring better opportunities in the pathways they choose down the track.

A message from Bethany, “We are so grateful to all the VM students and staff that helped us out and everyone that came to support the VM barbecue as we sold out of all of our sausages and drinks by 1 o'clock. We look forward to showing you what else we have planned for this year”.
