BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS IMPROVEMENTS

To provide comfortable classrooms for children to learn in and quality places to play in, we’re focused on improving our buildings and grounds with recent improvements being:

  • Installation/moving of the AFL goal posts.

  • Installation of a new net between the basketball/netball courts and soccer/hockey pitch.

  • Installation of new soccer/hockey goals.

  • Installation of internal doors in the Year 6 space.

  • New big screen TVs, used to show children how to follow our routines and complete learning tasks, for the three Year 6 classrooms.

  • New student tables in Year 6 and 3, with more ordered for Year 4.

In coming weeks, the floor in the Gym will be treated/polished and we’re hoping six internal walls/doors will be installed in all the Prep - Year 2 classrooms in the Term 1-2 holidays.

ASSEMBLIES

Everyone is welcome to attend our Assemblies to be held on:

NAPLAN ( 11th March - 23rd March, Years 3 to 5)

All students in Year 3 and 5 will sit these tests. Parents/carers have the option of withdrawing their child from the tests if they do not want them to sit the tests. For more information, contact the school. While these tests may create some concern for students, it is important to remember that these standardised tests are just one moment in time and are part of a much broader assessment overview for them.

GRADE 6 CAMP

Full planning is in process for this camp from Tuesday 10th March to Thursday 12th March at Urban Camp in Melbourne. Being a three-day, two-night camp, a lot of administrative tasks and planning is required to assist the camp to be a success and one the students will remember.
