Open Parachute - Supporting Your Child After a Tragedy in the Community
Open Parachute is an online platform that we are using as a school to dig deeper into student well-being. In class students view videos of age appropriate challenges faced by students, and are then provided with proven strategies by clinical psychologist Dr Hayley Watson. This creates proactive positive mental health, and comes from research designed to reduce incidents of a range of mental health challenges, potential conflict and bullying.

Prep Nurse School Program
The Primary School Nurse Program is a free program offered by the Department of Education to all prep students. The program aims to assist in the early identification of children with potential health and development related learning difficulties.
Today, Prep students will come home with an envelope. Families will be asked to register, give consent and complete an online health questionnaire by Friday 20th February. This ensures that your child can be seen at a later date when the school nurse comes to our school.
Kids Helpline - Support for Children and Young People
Did you know that Australian children and young people can access free, confidential support through Kids Helpline? This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for young people aged 5–25 years.
Kids Helpline provides professional counselling by phone, online chat, or email. Young people can talk about anything on their mind – including friendships, bullying, family issues, school worries, or feeling anxious or upset. No problem is too big or too small, and conversations are private and judgement-free.
Families may wish to keep this number somewhere visible at home so children know support is always available.
