Welcome to 2025, Lysterfield Community!
The Parents & Friends' Association at Lysterfield Primary School is a welcoming and fun committee which allows parents and caregivers of students at the school to play an active role in organising and running events that benefit our school community.
We do this by working collaboratively with the staff and school council, to represent a culture of positive engagement and community involvement. Our goal is to raise funds for special projects across all departments, all while getting the students involved and having lots of fun along the way!
Some examples of the events and activities organised by the PFA are the Easter Raffle, Mother and Fathers Day Stalls, 2nd Hand Uniform Sales, Trivia Night, School Disco, Colour Run and more.
In 2024, we managed to assist in the development of our new school Soccer Pitch! It looks amazing, so if you get the chance please pop into the grounds after school to check it out.
As with every year, we would love to welcome new members! Just for some context, we meet ‘officially’ twice a term and then at however many coffee dates and brunches we need to organise events, it is also a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and get to know some other parents and caregivers throughout the school. There isn’t an attendance roll so please don’t feel like you must attend all meetings, we understand everyone has busy schedules – many hands make light work!
To be involved, you must hold a current Working with Children Check and complete an induction on-site. If you are interested, please come along to our first meeting or alternatively, email lysterfieldpa@gmail.com to register your interest.
Our AGM for 2025 will be held:
Friday 7th February 2025, 9.15am - 10.30 am in the Staffroom - please sign in at the office.
We look forward to seeing you there,
Kind Regards,
Melissa Cavanagh
PFA President
First day of Breakfast Club Term 1 2025
The first day of Breakfast Club for Term 1 will be Monday the 3rd of February.
Parent Volunteers still needed for Breakfast Club Term 1
School Breakfast Club can provide a warm and welcoming space for all students when they arrive at school. They will be provided with a healthy and nutritious breakfast, giving them the best start to their full day of learning. The school’s Breakfast Club is run by Bec Rhodes, one of our school’s Integration Aides. Breakfast Club will run daily from 8:30am through to class time at 8.55 am and is held in the STEM room.
The support of volunteers is essential in the running of this program. If you are able to volunteer your time either once a term, twice a term or weekly, please click the link below to have yourself added to our roster. We look forward to hearing from you!
