Dear Parents/Carers
CHRISTMAS EXTRAVANGAZA
What a fantastic night we had at the Christmas Extravaganza. Students and their teachers had been practising their songs over the past few weeks and it definitely showed. We are so proud of them for performing for us. Thankyou also to the local businesses with their food vans who came along and provided us with many great choices. Of course our school sausage sizzle stall was also a great hit. Our MC Patrick Kluver certainly did a great job on his debut.
It goes without saying that these events are not possible without the amazing organisation of the Warrnambool Primary Parents Association members and help from the Warrnambool Primary School Community. We were amazed with the generosity of local businesses for their donations of prizes. In particular I would like to acknowledge - Jimmy Buscombe, Lucas Brothers Butchers, Terang Racing Club, Sun Soaked Hair, Janine Kairl for organising the signed Melbourne Guernsey, Woodford Racing Club, Pontings, Great Ocean Road Ten Pin Bowling, Lockology Escape Room, Collins Booksellers, Toy World, GoSurf, Deep Blue Hot Springs Warrnambool, the Sobey Family through Adele Smith for the Basketball shoes and jacket, Capitol Cinema, McNeills Tyre and Auto, Wilko's Handyman service, Pearson's Nursery, Darriwill Farm, Northpoint Lotto and Gifts, Aquazone, Bakers Delight Norfolk Plaza and Their Care for donating the Sausages.
We had 30 prizes drawn overall! Congratulations to those who won prizes and to those who missed out thank-you for supporting this great fundraiser.
Thank you to everyone who helped organise in the lead up to the event and on the day but special mention to Skye Nichols who tied it all together.
ONE LAST GOVEMBER UPDATE
Govember has come to an end, and what a month it was! Well done to all students and staff who took part in our challenge! A tremendous effort by all! Check out the results below. We were delighted to say that we met our target and then exceeded it by over 2000km. As we have said many times – if we unite we can achieve our goals. Special thanks goes to Mr Kluver for co-ordinating this great event. We can't wait for next years challenge!
SUCCESSFUL GRANT APPLICATION- TOILET RE-DESIGN & REFURBISHMENT- $500,000.00
Great News! We applied for a Major Capital Works Grant in June this year on behalf of our school to upgrade our Brick toilet block.
It was announced on Thursday 5th December 2024 that we were successful in attaining the full amount of $500,000.00.
We are thrilled with this outcome because our facilities should provide students with security and comfort at school.
We have no further details around timelines or designs etc but when that unfolds we’ll work through it.
