EdSmart

Our school will begin using EdSmart in 2025 to make communication between school and parents more streamlined, safer and less stressful for you. It is an Australian tool trusted by hundreds of schools to improve communication in the school community, and we're proud to be doing the same.

EdSmart is a cloud-based software that enables schools to handle all communication with parents electronically. It will mainly be used to collect permission, send information to a wider audience and allow parents to initiate forms regarding absences, subject change, enrolments etc. Other schools in the EdSmart customer community report that their parents greatly appreciate the tool and it has saved them plenty of time and worry.

Here's how it works

You will be sent an email notification with a link to click which opens a secure web page version of the form to complete and submit. These links can be accessed on your phone, tablet or computer at your convenience.

All of the data you submit in the forms is held in a secure database only accessible to authorised school staff and EdSmart personnel.

EdSmart will help us better manage any needs in the school community with the extra time saved. Another bonus is that we'll be reducing our carbon footprint and cost significantly.

You can learn more about EdSmart at https://edsmart.com/parents and if you have any questions, we welcome them.

Privacy & Data Security

EdSmart is ISO/IEC 27001:2013 accredited, which refers specifically to the requirements for establishing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system within the context of an organisation.

As David Eedle, CEO of EdSmart states, “We’ve always aimed for the highest standards of confidentiality, integrity and availability at EdSmart, and it’s now very reassuring to know that the standards we uphold have been given the stamp of approval as part of this official ISO 27001 certification process.”

“As we’ve all witnessed recently, data breaches can have grave and cascading implications,” he continues. “This certification tells our customers and EdTech partners that we understand they entrust us with their student, parent and staff information, and it’s our responsibility to safeguard it.”
