Middle School

It is hard to believe we are already at the end of another year! Students have been striving for greatness right to the end of the term. Whilst fatigue sets in and excitement for end of year activities, awards and holidays is alive through the corridors and classrooms, our Middle School have continued to give their best selves, contribute and serve others.

Congratulations to our Years 6, 7 and 8 students who have all participated in Service As Action tasks this term. The pride amongst them (and our staff) seeing the contributions of donations, fundraising and serving those in need was palpable. A truly enlightening experience for all. Our students could see firsthand the impact their contributions made within our community. Well done and thank you to all involved and our families for your time and contributions to these initiatives. I would also like to acknowledge the efforts of our MYP Service Coordinator, Ms Inneke Smit, for your organising and liaising with community groups to make this a success.

The last few weeks of Term 4 saw our Year 9s begin their Head Start program, as they transition into the Senior School. This is an important time for our students to experience life as a Senior School student as they begin to embark on the VCE journey. It provides valuable skills and preparations for the years ahead. I would like to thank all Year 9 students for their hard work and leadership of the Middle School this year and wish them every success as they move towards the next step in their educational journey.

Our final week of Middle School proves to be an exciting one, with many events across the year levels. This is a time for students and their teachers to reflect on and celebrate their success and achievements this year, as well as spend time together as a year level. Our week will culminate with our Middle School Awards Assembly to acknowledge everyone’s success.

I take this opportunity to thank our staff for their dedication and support of our students across the year.

Wishing all of our students and families a safe and restful Christmas break. Spend time together, recuperate, show kindness and do something you enjoy. I look forward to seeing everyone back in 2025!
