We’ve made it to the final week of Term 4! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication throughout the year. It’s been a rewarding term filled with growth, reflection, and celebration of all that our students have achieved. Let’s finish strong and make these final days memorable.

2024

This year has brought challenges, successes, and plenty of opportunities for growth. We’ve adapted to new ways of working, embraced technology, and navigated changes with a positive mindset. Your unwavering commitment to our students and to one another has been truly inspiring.

Celebrating Our Highlights

• Collaboration at Its Best: The teamwork we’ve seen—through planning, mentoring, and supporting one another—has strengthened our school community.
• Student Success: Thanks to your dedication, our students have thrived academically and personally, and seeing their growth has been so rewarding.
• Professional Growth: It’s been fantastic to see staff embracing professional development opportunities, sharing fresh ideas, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Important Updates & Reminders

• Classroom Wrap-Up: As we approach the end of the year, please start preparing your classroom for the holiday break. Ensure all personal items are packed away, resources are stored appropriately, and the space is tidy for next year.
• Assessments & Reports: Finalise any end-of-year student assessments or reports and store them appropriately to ensure you have them come 2025.

A Huge Thank You

This has been a year of hard work, perseverance, and growth for all of us. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the positive impact you’ve had on our students’ learning and development. Your patience, flexibility, and unwavering dedication to JSA have not gone unnoticed.

On the hardest of behaviour-filled days, on the days where you questioned getting 5 minutes to yourself, and the days where the only option was to laugh or cry, you have remained a team I could rely on to jump in and help, offer advice and support, or just be there. 

I cannot thank you enough for showing me the special ed ropes, and can only hope that you have taken something from our work together, even if it is to just remain calm, laugh at yourself, be silly and remain lighthearted in the wildest of situations. 

Looking Ahead to Next Year

While this year is wrapping up, no doubt there is plenty to look forward to in the new year!

As we head into the break, I hope you take time to relax, recharge, and reflect on all you’ve achieved. Whether you’re travelling, spending time with loved ones, or enjoying a quiet break, you’ve certainly earned it.

Thank you again for everything you’ve contributed this year. It’s been a privilege to work alongside such a dedicated and passionate team. Let’s finish the year strong and celebrate all we’ve accomplished together!
