PREP NEWS

Dear Prep Families,

As we reach the final days of this extraordinary year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve shared and thank you for being such a significant part of it. Your unwavering support, encouragement, and partnership have been invaluable in making this year truly special for all of us.

We are so proud of the growth we’ve witnessed in each and every one of our Prep students. From learning their first letters and sounds to reading sentences and stories, their literacy skills have blossomed. In numeracy, they’ve explored counting, measuring, problem-solving, and patterns, building a strong foundation for their mathematical journey. Through their citizenship learning, they have developed respect, responsibility, and a sense of belonging in our classroom and school community.

Our specialist programs have further enriched their growth. In Japanese, students learned new words and cultural traditions, showing curiosity and respect for diversity. In Performing Arts, their confidence shone as they sang, danced, and explored creativity through movement. Their artistic flair in Visual Arts was inspiring as they experimented with colours, shapes, and textures. In Physical Education, they demonstrated courage and resilience while learning new skills and games.

Through it all, our school values of Courage, Creativity, Compassion, and Ambition have been at the heart of their learning. We’ve seen them demonstrate courage in trying new things, creativity in solving problems and expressing themselves, compassion in helping and encouraging peers, and ambition in setting goals and striving to achieve them.

This year, we’ve also seen our students grow in confidence and leadership. From speaking up during class discussions to helping classmates and taking on responsibilities, their positivity and energy have inspired us every day.

While we will miss their cheerful faces and boundless enthusiasm in the Prep classroom, we are so excited to see all the amazing things they will continue to achieve in the years ahead. Please don’t be shy to stop by and say hello – we would love to see you and hear about your child’s next adventures.

Finally, from all of us on the Prep teaching team, a heartfelt thank you. It has been a privilege to guide and learn alongside your children this year. Thank you for entrusting us with their first year of school, for your kindness, and for the many ways you have supported our classroom.

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season filled with joy and laughter.

Warm regards,

The Prep Teachers
