Visual Art Awards

St George's Cathedral Art Award

July 18 marked the opening of the annual St George's Cathedral Art Award. Held at St George's Cathedral, the event showcased the artworks of three of our senior visual art students from Mazenod College. We are incredibly proud of Lockie D. from Year 11, and Seb A. & Clay M. from Year 12, who represented our school with their exceptional paintings at this prestigious event.

Participating in this exhibition offers a remarkable opportunity for schools to feature the work of students in Years 10, 11 and 12 within the unique setting of St George's Cathedral. At the Gala Awards Night, prizes are awarded to selected works by a distinguished panel of judges.

A heartfelt thank you goes to our dedicated art teachers, Miss McKechnie and Mrs Giannopoulos, for their invaluable efforts and support of these talented student artists.

Emerge Youth Art Award

20 July was a big day for Mazenod College Art students as we celebrated the opening of the city of Nedlands ‘Emerge’ Youth Art Award at the Tresillian Arts Centre. The awards, open to Western Australian artists aged 12 to 25 years, showcase talent from budding artists across the region.

The exhibition featured artworks from over 20 of our students from Years 7 to 10, showcasing a diverse array of our students’ paintings, sculptures and screen prints.
