  • Running Club will be back on Monday, after set backs with weather conditions and staff being away, we look forward to seeing you again! Come down to the spiderweb before school and let’s get our bodies moving! Anyone and everyone is welcome.
  • Middle & Senior Athletics Carnivals are fast approaching and organisations are underway. Thankyou to all the parents & guardians who have reached out and offered to assist us on the day. Without the support of our Croydon Hills community, these days wouldn’t be able to run. If you are able to help out of either of the days, even if only for ½ the day, we would love to have you on board and appreciate it so much!

BOOK WEEK DRESS UP DAY

It's that time of year again when we celebrate all things books! During this term and particularly during Book Week we enjoy celebrating new books by Australian authors and illustrators. The CBCA Book Week theme for 2024 is “Reading is Magic”.

On Monday 19th of August, we would love all students to come dressed up as their favourite book character OR dressed in something that goes with this year's theme “Reading is Magic”. We highly encourage families to be sustainable (both on the environment and budgets) and reuse/repurpose outfits. Op Shops and DIY outfits are greatly encouraged. Coming along with a copy of the book and/or character is always handy too. There is no cost for the day, and we look forward to seeing students and staff dressed up.

SCHOLASTIC BOOKCLUB

Today everyone should receive a Scholastic Book Club brochure. If you don’t receive yours there will be spares available from the library or you can just go online to https://www.scholastic.com.au/book-club/book-club-parents/ to view Issue 5 and place your order.

Scholastic are giving away free books in this Issue of Book Club. 1 free book when you spend $30, 2 books when you spend $50 or 3 books when you spend $70. This offer is available only if you order through LOOP and only on your FIRST eligible transaction on Issue 5. If you are using the LOOP app, you will need to make sure that you have upgraded to the latest version. If you choose the LOOP option (explained on the order form) you order your child’s individual items and pay for them. No paperwork needs to be sent to the school. Your order will be received with the school’s orders and will be delivered to your child’s classroom along with the orders of the other students. This is the only way to pay by credit card.

The orders are due back by Tuesday 30th July. If you try to put through a late order once the school has closed the orders you will be given the option to pay postage and have it sent directly to your home address.

Cash orders are sent to the school. No orders are to go to the library or class teachers – they are to go directly to the office.  Please ensure that these orders have Name and Class on both the order form and the envelope. If you want orders as gifts just put your name and a phone number on the order form and mark it clearly as a gift. We will contact you when they arrive at school and hold them at the office for you to collect. We do earn valuable points for every purchase made which are used to buy new library books. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Sick Bay

With the wet weather and muddy conditions, we are handing out a LOT of spare uniform. If your child comes home with borrowed items, could you please wash and return them as soon as possible.  It would also be of great assistance if families could pack spare clothes in their child's school bag for emergencies.
