Book Week

Lamont Book Fair 

Term 3 is a busy time for the library due to Book Week. As part of our celebrations this term, we will be holding a Lamont Book Fair from Monday 5 August - Thursday 8 August. The fair will be open for browsing and purchases (EFTPOS only, no cash) from 3:15 - 4:00pm. Parents and caregivers will receive further information on Monday including information on how to purchase books online from the fair.

Upcoming Author Visits

Following on from our author visit from Katrina Nannestad last term, next month we will be welcoming author of Real Pigeons, Andrew McDonald, who will present to the Year 3 & 4s, and author Andrea Rowe will present to students in P-2 and 7 & 8.

Premier's Reading Challenge

It's been wonderful to see so many students participating in the Premier's Reading Challenge. It's not too late for students to log their books. The challenge ends on the 6 September. Please refer to previous communication that was sent home last term which includes usernames and passcodes. 

Beanstack Reading Challenge

Students in Years 5 & 6 have logged a total of 95,000 reading minutes since the challenge began last term! This challenge will run until the end of Term 3.

Thank you for supporting your children with their reading. We have a wonderful reading culture in our school, and it's a joy to see students engaging with stories they love.
