We have heard the buzz of excitement in the office as we set up another year of phenomenal collaborative artworks. All eleven artworks are on display in the office and the silent auction is live. Bidding sheets have been displayed next to artworks for our parents and friend's of the community to bid for these outstanding canvas', please place your full name, contact details and a bid that exceeds the previous bid made.
Our Foundation and Year Six classes have one artwork per class being their first and final years, while Year One to Year Five have one artwork per year level. The bidding for each piece will begin at $100, with increments being raised by a minimum of $10. The final bidding will be at our inaugural Parent Social on the 14th September 2024. If you can not be in attendance, please send a buyer's advocate on your behalf, alternatively send us your highest possible bid and we can place this on your behalf.
Here's some our Collaborative Canvas artworks framed for our Parent Social Art Auction. This year, money raised will help the purchase of new ergonomic stools to upgrade our Art Room.
You will notice a number of artworks coming home this week in celebration of the special males in our lives, whether it's a father, grand father, uncle, brother, cousin or self, we hope these gifts are received well.
We continue focusing on Threads and Textiles, students have begun projects using hessian, fabric, felt or wool pictures, sewing and embroidery skills, thread and fabric bowls, weaving wheels and lots more. Please remember to continue practising your knot tying (see the videos from July's newsletter).
Our Wellbeing pavement stickers are in production as we speak, here's a sneak peak for what's to come, to help promote our school values of kindness, aspiration, respect and integrity.
