Performing Arts

What has happened in Performing Arts? 

We have had a very busy August in Performing Arts.

Foundation

The students were involved in the musical elements of Beat and Pitch. 

Year 1

Year 1 has been dancing to the beat and using character voices.

Year 2

Year 2’s used a range of percussion instruments to demonstrate and respond to Loud and Soft sounds and explored Chorus and Verse.

Year 3

Year 3 has been exploring getting faster and slower as well as getting louder and softer.

Year 4

Year 4 has been investigating sound through sound words and mouth music.

Year 5

Year 5’s took the opportunity to celebrate Mardi Gras music and dance outside on the asphalt.

Year 5’s were involved in a wonderful musical Incursion conducted by Beaumaris Secondary College. This involved teachers and students from Beaumaris Secondary College leading the rehearsal and performance of a song using percussion instruments. Our students had a taste of the strong musical program offered at Beaumaris Secondary College. It was a truly memorable day and we thank Beaumaris Secondary College for all their time and effort. 

Year 6

Year 6 explored musical pictures and producing pictures as a response to emotional music.

All Classes

The classes enjoyed dancing to the clip Ay - Yay.

Glee Club Dance also started and practised very hard.
