Update: Croydon Hills Primary School Kindergarten

I'm pleased to share an update on the new kindergarten being built at our school.

Due to a revised construction schedule, the opening of the kindergarten has been adjusted from Term 1, 2026 to Term 2, 2026.

To ensure programs can still begin next year, the kindergarten will operate from a temporary location at 17D Everard Road, Ringwood East during Term 1, 2026 (subject to regulatory approval). Children enrolled will then move into the brand-new building at Croydon Hills Primary School from Term 2, 2026.

The Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) continues to oversee planning and construction, and EV Strengthening Communities Inc. has been appointed to operate the kindergarten service.

Next steps:

  • I’ll continue to provide updates regarding our oval and construction timelines as works progress.
  • The kindergarten is in the process of being accepted as a MIKA service.
  • For kinder service enquiries: email eyminfo@ev.org.au or phone (03) 8822 0737.
  • For MIKA enrolments:
    • New applications and changes of preference close Friday 7 November.
    • If you’ve already submitted a 2026 MIKA application and wish to change your preference, email info@mika.org.au with your child’s name, date of birth, and preference listed as Croydon Hills Primary Kindergarten.
    • If you haven’t yet applied, submit a new application via the MIKA website at www.mika.org.au.
    • Applications received by Friday 7 November will be placed according to MIKA’s allocation policy.
    • Offers will be emailed Monday 10 November, with acceptances or declines due Friday 14 November.

More details are available in the attached letter and FAQs, or by visiting the VSBA website:www.schoolbuildings.vic.gov.au/croydon-hills-primary-school-kindergarten-interim-name

  • Yesterday our Girls Cricket team also won through to the SSV Regional championships in convincing fashion!
  • Tomorrow it's our Volleyballers' turn!

Children’s Week 2025

Next week is Children’s Week, a time to recognise and celebrate the rights, talents and contributions of all children. It’s a wonderful reminder of the importance of play, creativity and listening to children’s voices — values we celebrate every day at our school.
