Our NEW toilets are open for business!

After almost six months of meetings and building works, our new toilet blocks are now officially open and our students have been enjoying making use of the new facilities.

We are very grateful to the Victorian Schools Building Authority and Four Sight Architects for their work throughout the project. We are especially grateful to Donavon and his team from Gladona Building Services who have been absolutely fabulous. The builders have been able to minimise disruption to our school program whilst still working hard and completing the job more than three months ahead of schedule. Thanks Donny, you are a star!

A reminder that Monday 3rd November is a pupil free day. Teachers will begin end of year data analysis and report writing. They will be working offsite, and the office will be closed. If you need to contact the school on Monday, please call 97254320 or email kilsyth.ps@education.vic.gov.au
If you require child care on this day, please contact Their Care on 1300 072 410 or online at theircare.com.au
We are looking to finalise our planning for 2026 very soon. If you, or anyone you know, have a child looking to enrol at Kilsyth Primary School for next year it would be very helpful if you could please contact the office on 9725 4320 as soon as possible. We have a few new students beginning at a variety of year levels, with a strong enrolment in Foundation. (It has been just fabulous meeting our new Foundies as they take part in our Transition Program).
I am always happy to meet with any family who would like a tour or more information regarding how our school operates. I would love to speak with you in person about our approaches here at KPS. To book a meeting, or a tour, simply go to: https://linktr.ee/danielgooding .
We will announce classes and teachers for 2026 on the Statewide Transition Day, Tuesday 9th December!! Can't wait.
We have some great plans in place for our Performing Arts program in 2026.

We have just locked in a partnership with the Australian Children's Music Foundation for weekly music lessons with a well known musician. We are planning to provide lessons in ukulele and djembe drum playing. Students will undertake music lessons every week, and this will be an addition to our current program. This will be a long term partnership and we thrilled the ACMF have been able to offer us this wonderful opportunity.
We are also finalising discussions with Pathfinder Music Lessons for students to be able to enrol in private instrumental music lessons. The Pathfinder team will be joining us at our Christmas Carols Night in December and sharing some of the services they will be providing.

Choir will be back in 2026! This will be a great opportunity for those students who love to sing. We have, in the past, had a fabulous choir that has performed at local senior citizen clubs and the Kilsyth Festival. We are looking forward to starting this up again

and finally... we will be holding a whole school PRODUCTION in 2026. Mrs Simpson has been laying the groundwork for this wonderful theatrical experience for our students. More information will come early next year.
So many great things on the cards for 2026!

Daniel
