Last week was a busy one for the fundraising and social committee!

Thanks to everyone who helped out at both the Mother’s Day Stall and Event, we couldn’t run any of our events without our amazing community of volunteers.

We would also like to acknowledge the fantastic local companies who supported us with some awesome donations:

TRIVIA NIGHT - SOLD OUT

Saddle up and save the date for our biggest fundraising event of the year - the Murrumbeena Primary School Trivia Night!

When: Saturday 21 June - arrive from 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start

Theme: Country & Western - so dust off your cowboy boots and rhinestone jackets! Yeehaw!

Tickets: $25 each (tables of 10)

This is an adults-only event, so line up those babysitters, mark your calendars, and get ready for a night of fun, laughs, and a bit of friendly competition.

To help make this event a huge success, we’re asking for support from our amazing school community in a few key areas:

Silent Auction Donations

We are currently collecting items for our silent auction, and we’d love your help! 

Some examples of donations include:

•  Vouchers for local businesses 
• Experience tickets (e.g. sports, theatre, activities)
• Gift hampers or homewares
• Professional services (e.g. beauty, tutoring, fitness)
• Gourmet food and wine

Live Auction Highlight Item

We're also on the hunt for one high-value, show-stopping item to feature in our live auction. If you or someone you know can help, some ideal ideas include:

•  A weekend at an Airbnb or holiday home
• Private chef experience or luxury dining
• Premium concert, theatre or sporting tickets
• Unique or exclusive experiences

Country & Western Decorations – Can You Help?

This year’s theme is Country & Western, and we want to turn the school hall into a Wild West wonderland! 

We're looking for help sourcing decorations – ideally for free or at a low cost – so that more funds go directly to the school.

Items we’re seeking include:

• Hay bales
• Tablecloths (rustic or checkered)
• Glassware or tableware hire
• Alcohol for the bar (beer, wine, spirits)
• Western props, bunting, barrels, signage

If you have items we could borrow or donate, or know a supplier who might help, we’d love to hear from you!

All funds raised go directly toward upgrading our school facilities and improving learning spaces for our students. 

Donations will be acknowledged in our school newsletter, which reaches over 560 families.
