  • Year 9: Electives 2026 process, working towards casual employment - applications, resume building, work skills, interview preparation.
  • Year 10: College expectations - TCE, Choosing College Subjects 2026 and 2027.      

Upcoming Dates for Term Two

 

Southern Catholic Schools Careers Expo - Thursday 22 May

All Years 9 and 10 students will attend this event which brings together a diverse array of businesses from various industries all under the one roof at MAC 02. There will be everything from interactive exhibits to engaging with industry experts, giving you the opportunity to delve into the world of work and gain valuable insights directly from professionals. 

Full details have been emailed to parents and carers and students will be briefed during upcoming Pathways lessons.

GYC Course (Subject) Expo - Thursday 3 June

Year 10 students will travel to GYC Glenorchy campus to visit their Course Expo. This gives all students an opportunity to talk to teachers and ask any questions they might have.

 

GYC Individual Course Counselling - Friday 20 June

Year 10 students will travel to GYC Hobart campus for a one-on-one session to discuss course (subject) selection for 2026.

Friday13 June : “St Al’s - Discovery Day” for Year 10 students, 10.30am - 2.15pm.

An opportunity to find out more about studying Yr 11 and 12 at St Aloysius.

 

Tasmanian Building and Construction Careers Expo

This FREE event offers a unique opportunity for students and parents to explore a variety of careers available within the building and construction industry, all on one site.

Work Exposure Programs

On a regular basis organisations may send details to the College of upcoming work exposure programs on offer for students from Years 10-12. While they may not be currently relevant for our students, please look through the attached details and in future years attending one of these events may be an option.
