Team Teach School Closure Day on Friday

On Friday, we had our Team Teach whole school closure day. During our day we went through a range of different behaviour support approaches, discussing the Team Teach strategies and processes and how this connects with what we do at St Fidelis. The Team Teach training is being facilitated throughout many MACS (Melbourne Archdiocese of Catholic Schools) as part of a pilot program in line with the upcoming Vision for Engagement being launched later this year.

Last term we had the opportunity to engage in a three day intensive training program in collaboration with MACS as part of a pilot program, where we were upskilled as accredited trainers for Team Teach.

A little bit about Team Teach: 

Team Teach provides an accredited training framework focused on behaviour support approaches, with an emphasis on building relationships, de-escalation and risk and restraint reduction. The aim is to support school staff with a wide range of positive behaviour support and de-escalation strategies, a toolkit of interventions and post-incident restorative approaches and support.
