Save the Coburg Athletics Track – Community Campaign
Save the Coburg Athletics Track – Community Campaign Merri-bek City Council has released its Draft Coburg north Sports Hub Master Plan, for Coburg Athletics Track and Field Precinct.
Established in 1896, the Coburg Harriers are one of the State’s oldest sporting clubs. Joined by Coburg Little Athletics from 1966, the Club’s have proudly called the Harold Stevens Track home in North Coburg since 1971 – supporting health, wellbeing and sporting excellence for generations of young people.
Each year over 15,000+ participants and families use the track for events, school carnivals and community athletics – but all of this is now at risk.
Coburg Athletics Community has launched its ‘Save the Coburg Athletics Track Campaign’, which calls on Merri-bek Council to listen to the overwhelming calls by the local community, and work together with us in good faith to save, upgrade and protect our athletics precinct — so we can keep running, jumping, throwing, and growing, together.
