Kangaroo Class

Welcome back everyone! I hope all our families had a restful and enjoyable holiday.

The children have settled back into the classroom routines quite well, despite a few tired faces—which is to be expected after the break! It’s lovely to see their enthusiasm returning as we ease into the term.

In Mathematics this term, our Foundation students will be focusing on numbers up to twenty. They’ll be learning to write numerals, identify numbers that come before and after, and use hands-on materials (manipulatives) to represent and explore these numbers.

Grade One students will continue to build on their addition and subtraction skills. They’ll also be developing a deeper understanding of place value, working with numbers up to 120.
