Year 1 Update

Year 1 Update (Mrs Schofield and Mr Misikos)

Year 1 had a fantastic first term full of learning! In English, we explored Australian picture books and enjoyed reading groups to build fluency. Students collaborated on group tasks and looked forward to our hands-on Friday Maths rotations. In sport, they were introduced to OzTag and in Visual Arts they expressed themselves through vibrant artworks. It was a fun and productive term! 

This term, students are diving into new challenges with determination. In Maths, they’re currently working on mass through practical activities, while in English, they’re focusing on writing longer, more descriptive stories. Athletics training and dance lessons are underway and it’s already been an exciting and energetic start to the term!
