A Message from Miss Mel & Miss Petrina

Term 2, Week 2

A Moment of Remembrance and Reflection

As we begin this new term, our school community pauses to remember Pope Francis, who has departed this world to be with the Father. Let us renew our gratitude to God for giving us Pope Francis as a compassionate and reliable guide, a zealous pastor, and a courageous prophet of hope. We remember the devotion with which he celebrated the Holy Mysteries and served God's people.

Safe, Respectful, and Responsible: Living the Values of Pope Francis

As a Catholic school, we are called to embody the values of being Safe, Respectful, and Responsible in all our actions. Pope Francis' teachings align perfectly with these values:

Safe: Creating a secure environment where everyone can learn and grow, free from harm.

Respectful: Treating each other with kindness, dignity, and empathy, recognising the inherent worth of every individual.

Responsible: Taking ownership of our actions and contributing positively to our community.

Term 2: A Call to Action

During Term 2, let us put these values into practice:

*   Engage in acts of kindness and service to those in need.

*   Listen to and respect diverse perspectives in our classrooms and interactions.

*   Take responsibility for our learning and contribute to a positive school environment.

Hope and Commitment

As we move forward, let us carry Pope Francis' vision in our hearts, striving to create a school community that reflects his teachings of love, compassion, and service. We ask the Lord for courageous fidelity to the Gospel, which distinguished Pope Francis' ministry as the Successor of Peter. May we honour his memory by living out these values each day.

O God, faithful rewarder of souls,

grant that your departed servant Pope Francis,

whom you made successor of Peter and shepherd of your Church,

may happily enjoy forever in your presence

in heaven the mysteries of your grace and compassion,

which he faithfully ministered on earth.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,

who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever, Amen.

Welcome to Term 2!

We are excited to begin another term filled with rich learning experiences, community celebrations, and memorable events. As the school comes alive once again with the joyful energy of our students, there is so much to look forward to in the weeks ahead.

This term, we’ll be celebrating Mother’s Day in a special way, welcoming new families through our Prep 2026 tours, and diving deep into hands-on science learning from Prep through to Grade 6. Our students will also enjoy a variety of excursions that enrich their learning beyond the classroom, and we’ll join together for Catholic Family Week - a time to reflect on and celebrate our shared faith.

Term 2 also brings important moments in our Sacramental journey, the excitement of our Athletics Carnival, and many other activities that make school life vibrant and engaging.
