Sports Report

Dear Parents/Carers,

We are looking forward to a full calendar in Term 2 for PSSA Sport.

School Sport

Our students will participating in School Sport each Wednesday this term focusing on Athletics.  This will help the children build their skills in the field of Athletics and be prepared for our Athletics Carnival later in the term.

School Cross Country

Our students have been training for our School Cross Country that will take place next Friday, 16th May.   Please ensure all students are dressed in full school sport uniform for the day. All students ages 8 and up will be trialed to represent Werris Creek Public School at the PSSA Quirindi Zone Cross Country on Friday, 30th May.

NENW Rugby League Trials

Congratulations to Ashton, Dominic, Kobi, Lebron and Tyler who participated in the New England Northwest Rugby League Trials in Tamworth yesterday.  All students represented Werris Creek Public School with pride.  Well done. 

PSSA Quirindi Zone Soccer Trials

PSSA Quirindi Zone Soccer Trials will take place on Monday, 19th May at Quirindi.  Notes will be sent home this week for those students in Years 5 and 6 who wish to participate.

PSSA Quirindi Zone Touch Football Trials

PSSA Quirindi Zone Touch Football Trials will take place Wednesday, 21st May at Quirindi. Notes will be sent home this week for those students who would like to participate.

PSSA Quirindi Zone Cross Country

PSSA Quirindi Zone Cross Country will take place on Friday, 30th May at the Quirindi Racecourse.  All students who are eligible to attend will be provided with a note after our School Cross Country has taken place.

If your child is in Years 5 and 6 and has an interest in participating in any PSSA sporting activities, they will be given a note to fill in and return.  All notes must be submitted by the due date as late entries will not be accepted.
