History

CURRICULUM FOCUS

In History this week, students are learning about primary sources that tell us something about the past.

VOCABULARY

Primary source: an original object or artefact, such as a letter, or photograph.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Ask your child to find a primary source around your house, such as a photo, artwork, postcard or letter.

Talk to your child about the item and its history. You may like to think about when it was created, what was happening at the time, and who was involved.
