This week in Maths we are learning to  break numbers up into their place value parts.

VOCABULARY

Partitioning: breaking numbers into smaller parts.

Place value: the value of each digit in a number. 

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Ask your child to break these numbers into their place value parts:

12 / 48 / 135 / 78 / 364 / 26

For example: 12 has one ten and two ones.
