EVPS Community Hub

Hello to all the EVPS community and welcome to Term 4!!!

I hope you are all well and have enjoyed the term break. How great is it to see lots of smiling and happy students and teachers back at school?  I hope it has been a great start to the term.

Term 4 is already shaping up to be a very busy term with lots of activities planned.

COMMUNITY HUB CENTRE

We have exciting times ahead having commenced review of our plans for 2024 and are currently in discussions about having a Community Hub Centre within the school.

I will provide further updates as we go.

In the Hub we are continuing to plan as many occasions as we can for our families to be able to participate in and be part of the school community.

Commencing Term 4 we will continue with our:

Wednesday fortnightly CCC (Cake Coffee and Conversation) morning where we have many different discussions about how we can be of value to the school community and our students. If you a free and would like to join us mark Wednesday 11th October at 9.15am in your diary. We would love to see you.  Please register your interest so I know to expect you.

I would also like to introduce a weekly Thursday 2.30pm CCC (Cake Coffee and Conversation) afternoon commencing Thursday 12th October 2023.

Please register so I know to expect you. I look forward to meeting you.

Thursday weekly morning Walking Group where we walk to either Casa d’Abruzzo on O’Herns Rd, Epping RSL, or PD Café which s across from the Mary Mc Killop PS. The walk is normally 20 mins there and return and the best part is that we do stop for a coffee. With the warmer weather approaching, Thursday mornings are a great way to get motivated for the day and weekend ahead.

Toddler Storytime will also be continuing and our 1st session will be on Wednesday 18th October.

Bring your little people along to enjoy a story and activity in the junior library. It is a great way to engage toddlers in preparation for learning whether or not they are interested in books by looking at the pictures, listening to the reader, turning pages or simply holding a book in their hands. It all plays an important role in a toddler’s journey.

INTRODUCING CERAMICS

In collaboration with Edgars Creek Secondary College, we will be offering Ceramic classes to the EVPS community. Andie, the Art Teacher at ECSC, is interested in running classes at ECSC every Friday morning from 9.30 – 11.30am for our parents to learn the art of ceramics.

This is a great class for anyone keen to make a start with clay. Andie will cover simple techniques for making a varied range of decorative pieces.

Commencing Friday 13th October 2023. Please register your interest.

Please register your interest for the any of the activities listed above via our website.
