Principal's Views

From Mandy O'Mara

Dear Parents, Carers and Students of Epping Views Primary School,

We hope this newsletter finds you well and ready for an action-packed Term 4. It's going to be a term filled with exciting events, important updates, and memorable celebrations. Here's what you can look forward to:

School Fair Extravaganza: Get ready for the highlight of the term – our eagerly anticipated School Fair! Mark your calendars for Thursday 7th December as we come together for a day of fun, games, delicious food, and community bonding. More details to follow soon.

Celebrating Our Year 6 Students: As we approach the end of the year, we will celebrate the achievements and growth of our Year 6 students. Their hard work and dedication deserve recognition, and we have special events planned to honour their accomplishments.

Other events include: Swimming, Grade 1 Dinner, House Colour Sports Days, and many other sporting events.

With so much on our calendar, please ensure you stay up-to-date with all the latest news, events, and important information by checking our Compass portal regularly. It's your one-stop source for school updates.

Over the school break a number of projects were completed. The bike shed was completed so now students who ride to school are assured that their bikes and scooters are stored safely. The damage to the basketball court was rectified and multiple other issues with cracked or raised concrete were rectified. New interactive whiteboards and sound systems were installed in many of our classrooms.

Early next week construction will start on the new play/environmental area.

We look forward to a productive and enjoyable Term 4. As always, if you have any questions or need further information, don't hesitate to reach out to our dedicated staff.

Planning for 2024

Class list creation for 2024 will be one of the foci of our term four meetings. If you have requests re groupings please make sure you submit them in writing to the school by week 4 to eppingviews.ps@education.vic.gov.au

Classroom teachers spend many hours creating new classes. It is important to recognise that many factors are taken into account when these classes are being created; they might include academic levels of students, friendship groupings, friendship issues and teacher judgements. All requests will be considered but not guaranteed.

Please note that we've made a change to the Transition Dates published in our last newsletter.

If you have a child who will be in Prep next year please save these transition dates in your calendar:

  • Day 1 Thursday 16th November
  • Day 2 Tuesday 21st November
  • Day 3 Friday 1st December
