Passive Play

Hi Families,

Playgrounds are very busy environments and sometimes these unstructured, unpredictable environments are overwhelming for students.

This week, I wanted to highlight an option that we provide our students during recess/lunch times across the week.

Every day at recess and lunch time, we offer our students an indoor passive play option. Students have access to come and go from passive play as needed and there are multiple games and activities on offer such as coding with robots, drawing, origami and Lego. Some students even use the space as a quiet location to read a book or have a chat with a friend.

It has been fantastic to see so many students accessing our passive play option and to see many new friendships being established in the passive play environment.

Please remind your child/ren that passive play is an option during all recess and lunch times if they are finding the busy yard overwhelming.
