Sports Update 

FOOTY & SPORT COLOURS DAY

Tomorrow!

We look forward to seeing everyone dressed up in their favourite sports colours on Friday - the last day of term!  To celebrate National Health and Physical Education Day our Sports Leaders are also going to hold some optional sports challenges over lunchtime for our     P-2’s and 3-6’s.  Please note: Dressing in sports colours is optional.

Cricket Blast (T20) tournaments : Term 4

In early Term 4, our Year 3&4’s and Year 5&6’s will have the opportunity to attend a Dendy District Cricket Blast tournament (formally called T20 Cricket).  This is a round-robin cricket tournament, where teams of 8 play multiple games of modified cricket over the day against other Dendy schools.  The venue for both days is Kooyong Park, 458 Glenferrie Rd, Kooyong.

Year 3&4 day is set for Week 3: Friday 20th October

Year 5&6 day is set for Week 4: Friday 27th October

Request: a ‘Cricket Blast interest’ email is being sent out (via the office) to all Year 3-6 families this week to read over and respond to via a short Google form.   If we can please ask that all families complete this Google form at their earliest convenience so draft teams can be sorted by Mrs Thompson over the holidays.

Parent support required:  if you’d like to support your child’s team on this day, please email Tania with your availability.  9.45am - 2.40pm, or ½ day support would be much appreciated.

RETURN OF ALL BORROWED SF SPORTS TOPS

Year 3-6’s:  Please take the time to look through your child’s wardrobes, under their beds, behind their bedroom door for our blue, green and yellow jerseys, singlets and tops!  There are still some unaccounted for, especially from the Dad’s game last weekend.  Please cold wash, air dry them and get your child to pass them back into the office tomorrow.  Thank you!
