We have another exciting term planned with lots of learning and a full calendar of events.  Some of the highlights this term include: Sensational Sock Day (3 November – a FUNraiser), The Night of Stars (i.e. extra-curricular performing arts event), sports days and our annual Tally Way Day (7 December).  Tally Way Day is a celebration of the school year and an opportunity for children to apply their learning about the Tally Way while doing fun activities.  On that day, we will also hold the annual ‘Tunnel of Love’ allowing our whole school to farewell our Year 6 students.

Our term calendar and event details are shared to parents and carers via Class Dojo (camps, excursions, swimming carnival etc are included).

School Led Review – 1 and 2 November

As a high performing school, we were selected by the Department of Education to undertake a school-led review this year.  This is an intensive review of our performance and stakeholder consultation and will culminate in findings to inform our next 4 Year Strategic Plan.  Our current Strategic Plan with a focus on reading, writing, Mathematics and wellbeing and our shared mission and vision have enabled the significant improvements in teaching and learning achieved.

Recently, representatives across our staff groups analysed the vast amounts of information collected through our school-led review so far.  Thank you to all parents and carers who contributed by completing our survey.  Mr Gaggin is continuing our consultation with parents and carers through conversations before and after school and I thank those people who have shared their helpful feedback with us.  One of the strong common themes between staff and families has been our shared appreciation for our caring school community.

New Build Update

During the school holiday (25, 26 and 27 September) the new classrooms were installed and the work to complete them is progressing according to the intended schedule. They fit very well with our existing buildings aesthetically and will be lovely learning environments.

We anticipate the completion of this build to be at the end of Term 4.  During the first week of the school holidays, 9-17 December the school site will be closed with the removal of T1 and H Block and asbestos removal.

Prep 2024

Our team members are looking forward to getting to know our future Preps more through student interviews in Week 4 of this term.  If you are in catchment and haven't yet enrolled your 2024 Prep child, we encourage you to do so as soon as possible so they can be part of this term's events and you receive the information that you need.
