Foundation News…

In Foundation, we look forward to Writer's Notebook every Friday. Our Writer's Notebook's encourage us to take risks as writer's and nurtures creativity, and curiosity in our students. Students are provided with a writing prompt each week. We listen to some music, whilst we creatively express our ideas in response to the writing prompt. It has been fantastic to see the excitement to write in our junior students. These writing books are not marked to encourage and promote student voice and agency, and foster a love and joy to write. They are a fabulous keepsake for students to hold onto for years to come. Below are some snapshots of the brilliant creativity behind our prompt 'Not a box'. We watched a short clip 'Not a box' and then got very creative, turning a box into 'not a box'.
