Referendum BBQ and Bake Sale - Saturday 14th October

How lucky are we to belong to such a wonderful community of helpers and bakers! Thank you to everyone who volunteered an hour of their time on Saturday to help make this possible and just as importantly to everyone who spent time baking and donated lots of delicious treats. We’re pleased to say that the cake stall was empty by 1pm.

Thank you to everyone who, whilst they voted, who came and bought a bite from the bbq or a treat from the bake sale.

Big thanks to Liz Oblak for running the bake sale and to Tom Brockbank who prepared the most scrummy onions and helped set it up from 7am!

We’re still counting our profit from this but we will let you know the total in the next newsletter.

Grandparent/ Special Person’s Day - Friday 27th October

End of Year Raffle

Just a reminder that if you have brand new gifts that you don’t want, can you think of school first before getting rid of them. We’re talking about body care sets, glasses, toys, general gifts, chocolates, xmas items etc… things that we can add to our raffle. It needs to be in excellent condition and unopened (we’re not an op shop)! If you have anything, please feel free to leave them at the office where we can collect. Bonus if it’s Christmas related!

2024

We have already commenced writing our event plan for 2024, which we will be sharing with you before the end of the year. One part of next year's fundraising will be a Community Cookbook. We have a working group of parents working on this. We encourage family recipes, special tips, special recipes. etc from across everyone in our school community. We will be looking at working towards a submission date in November along with some samples.

More details on this in the coming weeks, but we thought that we would let you get your thinking caps on!

Parents & Friends meetings  - don’t forget!

We really do need more volunteers to come and get involved. We’re meeting Friday mornings for the remainder of this Term.

All our meetings can be found in the Facebook group - AGPS Parents & Friends Events - the link is:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/1711670309087291/
