Performance Day 2025

Performance Day 2025 – Celebrating The Power of Joy
This year’s Performance Day was a vibrant celebration of our school’s theme, The Power of Joy. Every class brought the stage to life with energy, colour, and heartfelt performances that highlighted how joy connects us, lifts our spirits, and brings us together as a community.
The show opened with a warm Welcome to Country by our Koori Club and Friends and was hosted by our talented student leaders: Bassam H, Ruya Z, and Ibrahim A, alongside teacher host Mrs Anne Hockey.
Highlights included:
- Kindergarten's 'Hakuna Matata Mash Up', reminding us to live in the moment and embrace happiness.
- 5/6K's powerful rendition of 'Firework' by Katy Perry, showcasing collaboration and personal growth.
- 1/2 Arriba and 1/2 Tuwa brought high energy with dance numbers to Can't Stop the Feeling and Dance the Night Away, spreading joy and friendship.
- 3/4 Waka’s performance to Ed Sheeran's 'Sapphire' focused on self-expression and belonging.
- 5/6 Basma and 5/6 Dandelion brought confidence and celebration with Waka Waka and Watch Me, getting the audience moving along.
- Kindergarten Aloha's tropical 'Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride' and 1/2 Bula's 'Better When I'm Dancin’' lit up the stage with fun, upbeat energy.
- 3/4 Serenity and 3/4 Amore presented thoughtful medleys, each reflecting on the deeper meanings of joy, connection, and gratitude.
The event concluded with a stunning performance from the Granville East Dance Team, dancing to Moana's – How Far I’ll Go, leaving everyone inspired and filled with joy.
Thank you to our students, teachers, and families for making this a truly magical and memorable day. The joy in the room was undeniable—and exactly what this celebration was all about.
