YEAR 5 / 6's NEWS

In Week 1 of Term 4, the 5/6 students went to camp in the city. We explored culture, art, history and had a whole lot of fun. The students showed all of our school values while participating in activities and travelling around the city.

Here are some reflections on camp from some 5/6 students:

It was one of the best experiences this year. During activities I was never bored and was happy the whole time, sure I got tired but don’t we all. It wasn't just fun outside; we watched fun things like bluey and the nightmare before Christmas. The food was amazing with teriyaki chicken for dinner and brownies for dessert. It was like a buffet. Overall camp was amazing, and I want to go again.

This camp was the best school camp I've ever been on in my life,
The experience was phenomenal. My favourite activities were the ACMI where we played games and watched illusions, spray painting where we made a street art painting on a board, the gallery and watching the movies. The most fun part was the part where we just hung out with our friends, and it was really fun. In general, it was all fantastic, I had an amazing time, and I would do it all over again.

Camp was breathtaking, it was a lot of fun activities packed into only a few days. The best activity for me was the Queen Victorian Market, it was amazing there were so many things to choose from to buy. But the funniest part of the trip was when we reached the CYC Camp site and we all settled in. It was a relief to finally have a chance to rest and hang out with our friends. The food was excellent, when I first saw the food while walking my mouth wouldn’t stop watering and the desserts, there are no words. Yet the only negative part of this trip was walking like we could have taken a taxi or an uber instead of walking all the way. Overall, the whole trip was the best camp and was my favourite.
