STEM NEWS!
This term in Drama and Health, students have been exploring creativity, expression, and wellbeing.
- Foundation students have been discovering how to use their bodies, voices, and expressions to tell stories. They have also been learning about emotions, hygiene, and ways to keep their bodies healthy.
- Grade 1/2 have been learning how to bring characters to life by using facial expressions, body movements, voice, and space in their acting. In Health, they’ve explored how food fuels our bodies, as well as the role of organs and bones in keeping us healthy.
- Grade 3/4 have been developing their drama skills through play scripts, which they will perform in Week 9. Alongside this, they have been engaging with Do It for Dolly, focusing on kindness and respect.
Grade 5/6 are looking forward to welcoming the River Rocks for an exciting dance incursion in Week 9, where they will be introduced to partner dancing. They have also completed the NCN Health Embrace Program and participated in Do It for Dolly, learning the importance of spreading kindness and celebrating their unique qualities.
It has been a wonderful term of creativity, teamwork, and learning to care for both ourselves and others! We can't wait for a successful term 4!
LIBRARY NEWS
A reminder to parents that while your child borrows during their Italian lesson each week, they also have the opportunity to borrow each day, with the library open before school from 8:30-8:50. If your child finishes their book, discovers that the book they chose is too difficult or is not capturing their interest, please encourage them to visit the library and choose some new reading material. They do not need to wait until their next lesson.
