Grade 2 News

What a fantastic, busy and productive Term 3 we’ve had! We a very proud of all the children and their achievements.

Information regarding the Year 2 sleepover has been emailed to all families. This is a wonderful opportunity for the students and an important stepping stone in your child’s educational development, to transition into camps for the future. We are all looking forward to this night. If you have any questions, please speak to your child’s class teacher.

The children enjoyed hearing from a guest speaker on Friday. Miss Tedesco’s grandmother, Mrs Lazzarotto spoke to the children on Friday about changes she has witnessed and experienced during her lifetime. The children wrote questions as part of their history learning to ask Mrs Lazzarotto. We thank her for spending this time with us.

In Numeracy we have been enjoying learning about 2D Shapes and 3D objects, describing and identifying their features as well as using them to create a city scape. Please see the pictures below of students incredible and creative constructions.

Next Friday 19th September (on the last day of term), Grade 2 will be attending Weekday Mass at 11:30am. This is our opportunity, for the term, to attend mass as a cohort and we are also looking forward to having a visit from Father Junjun afterwards. Families and friends of Year 2 are welcome to join us.

We hope you all have a restful and enjoyable holiday and we look forward to seeing the kids back in Term 4 ready to finish of the year!
