Foundation News!

What a great way to finish the Term! The children loved celebrating Maggie’s Birthday. They all looked spectacular in their dress ups. We are very excited to have learnt all the letters of the alphabet and had a lot of fun celebrating and playing party games with Maggie.

Thank you to our families for your continued support (Three dress ups in a term is a lot of hard work). The children are making wonderful progress, and it is great to see all the home reading practice being completed. We can really see the impact of this at school; especially how fluent they are getting with the ‘Tricky Words’.

Tricky Words

Tricky words are common words that are prevalent in books. Ideally, by the end of this Term the children should be reading (most, if not all) the 9 sets of Tricky words in their current diary and on a laminated sheet in their reading folder. Next week we will send home the next 3 sets of words in preparation for Term Four.
