A Message from Keir and Emma

“We would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people, the first people to dream, create, wonder, dance, play and learn on this breathtaking land. This land was cared for and respected for tens of thousands of years. The First Nations people lived in companionship with the animals and the life on this land. We acknowledge that this is stolen land and we pay our respects to elders, past, present and emerging.”

Term Four Staffing Changes

Term Four brings a few small changes to staffing at BNWPS.

Tim Harwood (JTT) will be taking leave for the entirety of term four. Tim will be replaced in JTT by Shalani Marasinghe who is returning from Family leave. JTT will have Shalani on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays and will continue to have Tom Mansfield on Thursdays and Fridays.

Martin Richards (MMR) will only be working four days per week in term four. Martin will be replaced on a Thursday by Rebecca Ewer, who is also returning from family leave.

Rebecca is returning to BNWPS on Thursdays and Fridays. On Friday, she will be supporting our Foundie students and teachers with the implementation of our small group Social Skills and Wellbeing program.

Max and Frank will also be around a bit more in term four. They will be supporting the Juniors, middles and seniors to implement our small group Social Skills and Wellbeing program. Max will now be at BNWPS every day, and Frank will be working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

We wish everyone who is taking leave (no matter how small!) all the best, and we hope that their time away is bucket filling!

A huge welcome back to Rebecca and Shal - we’re looking forward to having you back on board!

2026 Foundation Enrolments

If you have a child starting Foundation in 2026 and haven’t yet completed an enrolment form, please do so as soon as possible. Planning for our future Foundies’ transition program is already well underway, and we want to make sure every child has the opportunity to participate so we can set them up for a successful start to school. If you have any questions or need support with the process, please contact our school office.

Spring Family Day

We would like to thank all parents, caregivers, and extended family members who joined us last Friday for our Spring Family Day. It was such a joy to walk through the classrooms and see students proudly sharing their learning and achievements. The interactive activities created many opportunities for children and adults to work together, explore and have fun. As shown in the photos below, the carnival games created by our Senior students, which explored probability, were especially popular!

We look forward to seeing everyone at the Spring Magic Market on Saturday.
