SSV Sport
It has been a busy time with our SSV Sport over the past couple of weeks!
Firstly, we had two teams competing at the recent SSV Division Netball Championships held at Red Energy Arena. Both teams competed in Division 1, with our Boys team coming home undefeated Champions and the Girls team coming runners up in a tough grand final. Both teams have progressed to the SSV Region Netball Championships in Swan Hill on Tuesday 19th August. Good luck to both teams!
The following day, our football teams competed in the SSV Division Football Championships held at Kennington Primary School. Both of our teams went undefeated in their pools and played off in the grand final. This time our Girls team walked away as champions and the Boys team went down in a close final to Marist College to come home runners-up.
Both teams progressed to the SSV Region Championships in Swan Hill last Thursday.
Both our Girls and Boys teams faced some tough competition in the Swan Hill sunshine. The Boys team earned a place in the semi-finals but went down by 7 points. Our Girls team went through undefeated in their pool to come up against St. Mary's Swan Hill in the grand final. They played a fantastic game of football and walked away runners-up.
A big thanks to our coaches Wil, Connor, Courtney, Alice and Trent for all their hard work over these events.
Well done to all students who represented the school in these competitions. Your attitudes on and off the field and court were exemplary.
