Foundation Swimming

A reminder to the parents of Foundations students that NO makeup, face paint or hair products can be used tomorrow for Book Week dress-ups.  These products are not suitable when the children are in the pool for their swimming lesson. Thanks for your understanding with this matter.

 

Equestrian Champion

 

Congratulations to Zoe M, who took out Champion Interschool Rider at Little River Pony Club Horse Show on Sunday. What a fantastic achievement

 

 

Winter Sport Round 4

This Friday, our Year 5 and 6 students will participated in Round 4 of the Winter Sport Program. We welcome Colac Primary School to our school. Students will compete in one of the following sports: football, netball, soccer, hot shots tennis, down ball and badminton. Students need to wear their sport uniform and bring along a drink bottle. Students also need to bring along the appropriate gear for their sport e.g. football boots.

 

Greater Western Lawn Bowls

The Greater Western Lawn Bowls Finals are quickly approaching. This competition will take place on Tuesday 2nd September at the Sebastopol Bowling Club, The following students will start practising their lawn bowls skills in preparation for this event - Felix D, Saxon F, Brock J, Thor M, Lena M, Alfie D, Levi C, Isaac M, Jock M, Chase H, Dusty M, Beau P, Poppy S, Hamish T, Luke M, Toby M, Poppy A, Louis F, Harry K, Thomas W

More information will be sent home closer to the event.

State Netball Championships

Our Year 6 Girls Netball team consisting of – Phoebe R, Asha Mc, Poppy S, Darci G, Lily K, Mae D, Regan S, Lily S and Lena M will play in the State Netball Championships on Wednesday 17th September at Waverley Netball Centre (2 Jells Road, Wheelers Hill). What a fantastic achievement to get this far in primary school netball.

All Girls Cricket Program

Cricket Victoria is running an ‘All Girls Cricket Program” at the Colac Secondary College Oval for 6 weeks. This will start on Monday 25th August and finish on the 13th October. Each Monday it will start at 4:00pm and finish at 5:00pm. This is a great chance for girls to learn the fantastic game of cricket. More details on the flyer on the 'Community page' in the newsletter.

1. What sports do you play? The sports I play are basketball, football and cricket.

2. Which sport is your favourite to play? My favourite sport to play is football.

3. Why is this your favourite sport? Football is my favourite sport because it is fun and I get to play the game with my mates.

4. What is your proudest sporting moment? My proudest sporting moment was when I won the ‘Most Valuable Player’ award.

5. What are your strengths that help you with sport? My strengths in sport is my speed, I am quite fast, and my accuracy with kicking the ball. 

6. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport because it is fun and I like to stay active.

7. Who is your favourite sports person? My favourite sports person is Essendon captain Zack Merrett.

8. Why are they your favourite? Zac Merrett is my favourite player because he is a good leader and he is a very accurate kick.

9. What is your favourite sporting team? My favourite sports team is Essendon.

10. How would your coaches and teammates describe you? My coach and team mates would say that I am fast and skilful.

1. What sports do you play? The sports I play are netball, basketball and dance.

2. Which sport is your favourite to play? My favourite sport to play is dance.

3. Why is this your favourite sport? Dance is my favourite sport because it is fun and I enjoy it a lot.

4. What is your proudest sporting moment? My proudest sporting moment was when I won a dance scholarship.

5. What are your strengths that help you with sport? My strengths in sport is my dance skills. I am very good at trying new things and practicing.

6. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport because it is fun and keeps me entertained.

7. Who is your favourite sports person? My favourite sports person is Ms Lynch.

8. Why are they your favourite? Ms Lynch is my favourite sports person because she always encourages me to do the best I can do.

9. What is your favourite sporting team? My favourite sports team is the Geelong Cats.

10. How would your coaches and teammates describe you? My coach and team mates would say that I am a very good sport and I always try my best and encourage my team mates.

2. Which sport is your favourite to play? My favourite sports to play are tennis and badminton.

3. Why is this your favourite sport? Tennis and badminton are my favourite sports to play because they are fun.

4. What is your proudest sporting moment? I am proud of myself when I am able to learn a new sporting skill at school.

5. What are your strengths that help you with sport? My strengths in sport is my speed, I can run fast when I want to.

6. Why do you love playing sports? I am not a big lover of sport, but I do love to run!

7. Who is your favourite sports person? My favourite sports person is Olympian Cathy Freeman.

8. Why are they your favourite? Cathy Freeman is my favourite player because she was a very fast runner for Australia.

9. What is your favourite sporting team? My favourite sports team is the Geelong Cats.

10. How would your coaches and teammates describe you? My coach and team mates would say that I am funny and a good team mate.
