Dear Parents/Guardians,

Emergency Management Planning

Each year in September schools update their Emergency Management Plans (EMP).

The review includes identifying areas where the EMP could be improved and ensuring we aware of the plan and their role during an emergency.

Each Term we run a practise drill which could including: lock down, evacuation, first aid, shelter in place or evacuation off site. Next Wednesday 3rd, we will be running an evacuation off site drill.

Parent Opinion Survey Open (18th Aug -19th September)

Invitations with survey links and log in details for the Parent Opinion Survey were emailed to families via XUNO on Monday 18th August. We value your feedback and want to hear what you have to say about our lovely school. Last year we had 36 parents log on- hopefully we can have more again this year.

District Athletics

A shout out to our grade 3/4 and 5/6 students who participated in the district Aths events in Echuca on Tuesday & Wednesday. Despite the wintery conditions our School Values of 'Respect, Responsibility and Resilience' were on show for all to see. Well done to all involved.

Reading at Home

Reading with a parent or guardian at home is a valuable part of a child's learning journey throughout primary school. Children who regularly practise reading as part of their homework tend to develop greater confidence and independence in their reading skills. Just 10–20 minutes of reading each day can lead to noticeable progress. Whenever possible, talking with your child about the books they read helps deepen their understanding and enjoyment. Keep reading to learn more about the benefits of discussing texts at home with your child!
