Firefighters 🚒👩‍🚒

Our Foundation students recently took part in an exciting and educational Fire Ed incursion delivered by Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV). As part of the Fire Ed Foundation program, the session focused on teaching essential fire safety skills in a fun and age-appropriate way.

Students were thrilled to meet real firefighters, explore their protective gear and equipment. Through engaging activities, they also learned important fire safety messages such as “Get down low and go, go, go!” and “Stop, drop, cover and roll!” One of the key takeaways was learning about safe meeting places at home, helping students understand the importance of having a fire escape plan.

A huge thank you to FRV for providing such a memorable and meaningful learning experience for our students!

Investigations 💡

Every Monday, our Foundation students take part in a special session called Investigations. This is a play-based learning time where students explore, create, and collaborate through hands-on activities.

During Investigations, children build important social skills, practice creative thinking, engage in problem-solving, and develop independence and curiosity—all while having fun!

It’s a wonderful opportunity for students to follow their interests, work together, and grow as confident, capable learners. We love seeing their imaginations come to life!
