🦕 Discovering Dinosaurs in 1/2! 🦖
Our Year 1/2 students have been loving our ‘Discovering Dinosaurs’ integrated unit this term! They’ve been busy with lots of hands-on learning across multiple subjects.
In Writing, students are researching and creating their own information reports on dinosaurs, building their skills in planning, writing, and editing.
In Maths, we've been exploring measurement — last week we measured giant dinosaur footprints and body parts using both formal and informal units!
As part of our Integrated Studies, students created 3D 'trioramas' to showcase dinosaur habitats. This week, we’re bringing dinosaurs to life by designing and building models out of air-dry clay.
Next up in ICT: creating stop-motion videos featuring their dinosaur models — we can’t wait to see the final results!
