Messages from the Principal

Hello everyone,
As always it has been a wonderful few weeks filled with our fantastic NPS community spirit coming alive as it does. I am still buzzing from the incredible success of our recent Athletics Day! The weather was perfect, the atmosphere was great, and it was, as it always is, amazing to see so many of our students participating with enthusiasm, displaying sportsmanship, and cheering each other on. I’d like to thank all staff involved and especially Mr. McKinnis whose planning and organisation contributed to such a successful and fun day!
Thank you of course to all of our families that assisted the running of events. We could not have ran the day without you. A huge congratulations to all our students for their efforts, and a special shout-out to those walked away with ribbons also. In 2026 – after many years, we’ll be reintroducing our Staff VS Parents VS Students 4x100m relay race! I’ll need to start training, and stretching, from this weekend!
Speaking of outstanding efforts, we want to extend our sincerest gratitude to all the families who dedicated time and energy to our recent Working Bee. George House came to work, literally, and your efforts made a remarkable difference to our school grounds. We are always so thankful for our families commitment to our school and it’s community. Our annual Book Fair was another resounding success, and this is largely thanks to the incredible support, once more, due to our parent volunteers. To all the families who assisted – thank you! Your time and dedication helped foster a love of reading in our students and will provide our library with some fantastic new resources and texts.
Finally, and as I shared in our last newsletter, I wanted to give an update on our recent 4-Year School Review. This was a comprehensive process that involved a thorough evaluation of our school's progress, achievements, and areas for future growth. Our review was quite a successful process, highlighting the many strengths of our school and affirming the dedication of our staff and students. It was an opportunity to reflect on all we have accomplished and to set exciting new goals and targets for the next 4 years.
I was immensely proud of the positive feedback received and are excited to continue building on this success. I’ll be sure to share those goals and targets with you all once they are signed and sealed by the Department of Education. Thank you once again for your ongoing partnership and dedication to our school. It is your involvement and support that makes our school such a vibrant and thriving place for learning.
