Term Focus: Wearing our Uniform with Pride

The school uniform identifies the school within the community and develops a sense of school spirit and belonging within the student body. Some specific uniform requirements, such as shoes, hair and jewellery, are directly related to student safety. The wearing of the correct school uniform is compulsory, and students are expected to arrive wearing it daily, ready to learn. Please refer to our previous newsletter for specific details on our uniform.

The clothing shop has been extra busy with the change over of uniform last week. Labelling of all clothing items helps identify the owner when items are misplaced. We appreciate families ensuring students are now wearing their full winter uniform and not a combination of summer and winter. Ties often go missing or are forgotten to be worn. Helping your son or daughter to keep it in a safe place and to put it on when dressing would be a support.

Real Talk

Tomorrow, Year 4 and 6 students will have the opportunity to be part of age appropriate presentations provided by Real Talk. Their aim is to help young people understand God’s amazing plan for love and life.

Year 4’s session ”getting real in the digital world” includes the following elements and topics:

• Self-image

• Making good choices

• The impact of the media (inc. social media)

• Cyber-safety tips and hints

Year 6’s session ”Let’s Talk: Puberty” includes the following elements and topics:

• Self-image

• Healthy relationships and friendships

• Making good choices

• The importance of body language

• The impact of the media (inc. social media)

• The physical and emotional changes of puberty

ICAS Assessments

ICAS English, Mathematics and Science Assessments will once again run at Holy Trinity during August and nominations are currently open. Students in Year 4 and above are eligible to enter. Information was emailed to families through Compass at the end of Term 1.
